So.. My little silkie, the one I raised since she got here last fall, is now a mother (times two!). But, she still has eggs from my other chickens that are a couple days apart. I took her chicks and put them in with my others who just hatched over the weekend. Did I do the right thing to keep her on the nest? I'd hate for her to abandon the rest of the eggs.. Their father disappeared a few days before, which is why we let her set seven of them. (Well, she stole them.)
