We have this hen who started showing signs of wanting to brood, and yesterday she was in the nest and still is. With this cold weather, im not sure about allowing her to brood, so whats the best way to change her mind?

I've gotten a few different hens out of broodiness by confining them to a large wire dog crate for several days. No place to nest.

Lock her away from her nest site. A separate cop, dog crate or small pen can be used.
