Broody hen 1 month plus

Can you get a close photo of her left eye?

Does she act broody, screech/scream/puff up, etc.?

I assume she's not laying eggs.

I'd check her over for lice/mites, make sure her crop is emptying.

Does she seem to be more active early and late when the lighting/sun is not so bright or does she stay more in shaded areas?

Her eyes are great! I don’t know why the photo makes it look like there’s something wrong.

She puffs up and is aggressive (mildly) to the other chickens when they come to lay). She growls a lot and has some screeches when others get too close.

She hasn’t laid in over 4 weeks.

Her crop empties. They do have a few mites that we’ve been treating but not bad like we did last summer (they’d not had mites again until recently).

She isn’t more active at any specific time and doesn’t avoid the sun or search for shade. When she’s out for a short while, she is literally all over the yard, haha.

Thank you for saying they will eventually break on their own! I make sure mine has food/water/treats and I force her (them, really because another joined her) to stay out in the yard to eat/free range/dust baths for a few hours every day but they are anxious to go right back into the coop
