Broody hen and no fertile eggs.

One of my Barnevelders went broody. Wishing I had some Welsummer eggs to put under her. How can I get the hens that are laying to use the other boxes? I have fourteen total, some are still young. Three or four are laying now. I have heard some say to use a glass egg or other lure I guess you say to entice to use the nest box. Thoughts.

As creatures of habit, they will use the same nest most likely even if one or two other hens are in it. If you aren't going to obtain some fertile eggs, break her broodiness.

Yes, put fake eggs in the other boxes if they are all wanting the broody's box. You can buy fake eggs or use golf balls. I wouldn't even think about looking for fertile eggs/letting her stay broody until you figure this out.
