Broody hen brooded in an empty nest box :(

I have a cochin bantam that has been setting on eggs since April 8th. Yesterday when I got home she was setting in an empty nest box (someone-bad roosters!- pulled out the plastic bags I was using to block off the empty nest boxes). Her clutch of 6 eggs were cold. I put her back on her eggs and she settled down.

I'm wondering, have I lost those 6 eggs?: She must of been off the eggs for a while for them to be cold. And so close to hatching too

I don't know. You'd be surprised what those eggs can take sometimes. The important thing is the core temperature of the eggs. I'd absolutely keep going to see what happens.
