broody hen chick's getting ready to hatch. .. now what

This is my first time hatching eggs... We are about 19 days in. I have candled the eggs a few times and everything looks good.

When they hatch do I need to remove them from the flock? The nest box is elevated in a house so I assume I need to move them where the can get to ground and food? Other thoughts?

Hiya so i let a hen raise her single chick a foot off the ground in a nest box and they were fine. The hen brought her chick down and they were great. Your hen should protect her chicks from the rest of the flock. But i would be care ful when going in because they will come behind u. I actually stepped in a chick before. GL i luv broody hatches.

I always move mine to a different pen to prevent the grown chickens from hurting the chicks and plus they eat different feed.
