broody hen got off nest to eat, drink day 18

Right now it have two broody hens sitting on 12 and 8 eggs (I have 24 eggs at one point, but one of my broody hens broke 4 eggs).

One of my broody hens is on day 18 and the other broody is on day 16.

So I let out my other chickens from the chicken house and the broody that is on day 18 came off the nest to eat, drink, is this normal ? I thought that on 18 day the broody hen goes in to lock-down, that is she does not get off the nest until the eggs hatch on day 21 to day 22 and finish on day 25 when eggs are removed, that is not going to hatch.

yes lock down is on day 18 but that is when she gets ready for lock down she is just getting off to eat drink and poop she knows she will be staying on the nest for the next couple of days good luck with your hatch
