Hi there...

We have a hen that just went broody and she's in a chicken tractor coop that we move around the yard every couple of days.

It's time to move it again, but will it cause her stress if we move it while she's in there sitting on her eggs? We'll do it gently and slowly. I think it'll be fine, but just thought I'd check with the experts here.

Thanks!

I am no expert what so ever, but from my understanding, that if a hen is broody, then she has to be away from other chickens, so you might have to move her and her eggs to a seperate place.

Interesting. She's in there with 3 barred rocks and her Nankin rooster. The funny thing is I actually saw a barred rock perched on her nesting box with her in it at one point. I can't believe that didn't send her flying, so to speak.

I do let all of them out during the day, but she has dutifully been staying inside the coop, sitting on her nest.

Thanks for the reply... we did actually go ahead and move it yesterday in the evening, and all is still well.
