We have a Black Australorp who is Broody. I tried removing her, walking her around, and a day in Chicken Jail. She went right back to just laying in the box. Sometimes on nothing. She's back in Chicken Jail. How long should I leave her?

Thank you. This is what I needed to read: The amount of time needed to ‘break’ the hen will depend upon how determined she is. Check her daily by removing her from the cage. If she returns to a nesting box- back to jail she goes!

Pretty much!
I wait 48 hours the first go round, then let them out an hour before roost time.
If they go to roost, we're done.
If they go back to nest, back the crate for anothe 24 -48 hours.
Rinse and repeat.
