Broody hen is hurting her brood......

I have a first time brood mille fleur d'uccle raising frizzle polish chicks. Now that they are about 10 days old and growing out their feathers she is ripping out their wing feathers and making them bleed. I sprayed their wings with Blue Kote, but she still is picking at their wings...any ideas?

Take your Polish chicks, place them in a brooder and don't ever let that hen have chicks again.

That's my advice, anyway. If she's pecking them to the point of bleeding, she's showing them some pretty serious animosity. Take them away before you loose them.

That is what I thought too. Oh well. I guess she is not cut out for being a mother. Thanks for the advice.
