You might just check and see if there are any roost mites in the nest. We had a setting hen get infested with them (back in the day when we didn't know as much) and it almost killed her. So I now spray the nest box before I set a hen and provide fresh straw. Probably she is fine, just a bit hot and tired from setting for 3 weeks.

Is her nest shaded? If not, IMO, that is crucial.

Just to help remind y'all how important shade is to the health and wellbeing of a chicken.
lazy gardener is absolutely correct. In fact the wild bird that our chickens are descended from is called the Red Jungle Fowl, not the Red Desert or Sand Dune Fowl.
