I have about an eight month old black australorp who has decided to brood but she didn't lay any eggs. She had been laying eggs but after five days on the nest I check on her and there were no eggs. I found about 26 guinea eggs in the field and as soon as my guinea got off them I tucked them under the black australorp. She is in heaven, fussing with eggs. Now, my question, will they hatch?? I had no idea my guinea was laying eggs as this was the first day I didn't see her around and went looking for her. Surely they must not be fertilized if she wasn't sitting on them all day?? There is one male and one female guinea.
