Broody hen.... Now what?

Being that you know more about this stuff than I do, is it possible the roo attacked your daughter because he was protecting his broody hens?

Complete possibility (likely), but I just like my kid more than the roo.

She is SO into the chickens that it would be impossible to separate them. I hope we get a new roo out of this bunch... hopefully not too many though!
