I got my first egg this morning from one of my 20 week old RIR pullets. I heard a racket late this afternoon coming from their coop. After investigating I found 1 hen in the nest box with another new egg. (our second egg) She didn't want to leave her egg. I had to reach under her to get it. She wasn't nasty but she seemed to get very agitated that I took her egg. Can a pullet be broody after only her second egg? Should I have left it there overnight?
