broody hen or not ?

so i had a hen on the nesting box and she was sitting more firm than usual and as i reach my hand to get eggs she kind of hissed at me so i put a fake egg near her to see if she take it and she did so i went back inside watid a little and went back outside and i saw her laying after she layed she sat back down watid a little and got up and got out the nesting box and did not go back on it. what is she doing ?

Is she sitting on the nest? A broody hen always stays on the nest, only getting off once or twice a day. She will make angry noises or peck you if you try to touch her. She will look a little more puffed up than usual.
