Last year I didn't have a rooster and I was able to break my hens 3rd brood by putting her in a wire dog kennel for a day and night. Now I am wondering have I ruined her ever going broody again? This year I have a rooster and would like some chicks. Hope this is the right forum.

You haven't ruined her. It's possible she'll go broody again. You can encourage her a little bit by not collecting eggs from what I understand. I have a broody right now sitting on nothing and she's persistent.

Hen has finally gone broody. I have 10 fertile eggs under her for the last week. New question... Can I move her and eggs to a new coop and NOT break her brood? I was thinking of going in at night and putting her and eggs in a straw filled milk crate and moving them to the new coop. That way she will be separate from all the other chickens until chicks (if they hatch (don't count your chickens until they hatch, haa)) are able to join the big girls.
