broody hen questions

Hi- One of my backyard layers went broody so I got some fertilized eggs for her. Two have hatched (yesterday) but the rest don't seem to be making any progress. If they don't hatch by tonight should I just remove them from her nest?

Sometimes with broody hens they will hatch over a few days. I would just be patient (as much as you are able) and make sure Mama is close to food and water. Congratulations!

Just let her be. She'll stay on the nest waiting to hatch more chicks until her instinct to care for the chicks that have hatched takes over. That usually takes a couple of days, then she'll abandon the nest altogether.
