broody hen quit

my broody hen sat on her eggs for about a week but then layed an egg in the nest. should let her continue to sit on the eggs because she is still incubating them with her unfertile eggs?

Are you sure that it is hers? If she is kept with other chickens another hen could have sneaked one under her.
If she is by herself, I would just remove the new egg if you know which one it is, and let her continue setting on her other eggs (assuming that she is still setting, or has she left the nest?) If she has left all her eggs and totally abandoned the nest, run to tractor supply or local feed store and buy an incubator if you don't already have one to finish the eggs out. Good luck!
