We are part way thru the integration of our 5-7 weeks old chicks with the adults. They are outside together all day. The chicks have a separate area in the coop with panic doors. So far they sleep in their own area. Here is my concern- We have a broody hen that has been in broody jail for the last 9 days. Most of the chick integration has taken place since she was separated. We were at the all separate but can see each other stage when she went broody. Should I worry about reintroducing her when her broodiness finally breaks?

Just watch the dynamics. Because of their change in demeanor and her removal from the flock she will be regarded as a 'stranger' and will have to regain her position in the pecking order.

.....she also may be a holy terror when she comes out,
like the last broody I broke a couple weeks ago,
she had no problem regaining her place, was harassing everyone.
Took her a few days to calm back down, tho she's still pretty feisty.
I too am integrating 6wo chicks and she's one of the most aggressive towards them.
As long as the chicks can get away, they'll be fine.
