broody hen wont get off the eggs to feed

my broody hen wont get off her eggs to eat, or drink.

is this normal, I mean shouldent she get off at least once a day?

I am new to hens hatching.

Mine didn't either. At first I would put a handful of food by her and hold a water bowl next to her a few times a day so she could eat/drink. Once it got really hot I got a little clip on dish so she could have water all day.

How much time do you spend out there with her? It's most likely that she's getting off when you're not there. Feel for her crop to see if she's eaten anything lately. Another way you could tell is if you see a huge super smelly poop in the coop..It's almost definitely the broody's. They have the worst smelling poo!
