Can you make A hen go broody?

Nope. Some claim that leaving eggs in the nest will encourage a hen to go broody. In my experience they go broody when they are ready, and not all birds will go broody.

We need to extend our flock so I just need to have one of them to go broody. what if I stick a chicken in the nest each night with fertile eggs will that hatch them

Are they hatchery birds, and have they ever been broody in the past?

No they r not hatchery chickens and have not been broody

How old are they. 'Breeder' sourced birds do have a greater chance of going broody than most hatchery birds.

I agree you can't really make a hen broody. They kinda decide if they want to be broody. Some breeds are more prone. Sometimes you can put a hen in a pen with a rooster and that could work, but again that doesn't always work.

They r 1 year old we got them from a farm store so hard to tell were there originally from
