Broody hen

Hi I have a EE Americana mix. She started laying around age 4 1/2 months old and she went broody back in the middle of June and hasn't laid and agg since. I Broke her broodiness in 2 days. But is it ok that she hasn't laid or what can I do to help her???

She will resume when she can. It can take weeks before they start up again after being broody. Americana are sporadic layer and will often lay and than quit for a while throughout the season.

Something likely not right. When I have a hen go broody and clutch is busted up, it seldom takes two weeks before egg production resumes. Exceptions involve older hens (5 years and older) and hens in known questionable health.

This time of year you can expect many hens to come out of lay with onset of heavy molt.

My broody hen will usually take 2-3 weeks to start laying but sometimes longer.
When I let her set, it was a total of 12 weeks from onset of broodiness to first egg laid again.
Is your hen molting??? My dominant hen is molting, feathers everywhere. No tail feathers right now!
Just make sure she is well fed and not obviously sick.
Other than that, not much you can do other than wait her out.

She's not molting eating and drinking normally and is very active

No molting. And is very normal and active

Here are my hatchly and broody hen.

A Mille Fluer D'uccle bantam hen with 7 chicks.

A Thai hen with 10 chicks.

A Game hen x RIR sitting on 10 eggs.

Lastly two Thai hens. Mother and Daughter.
Mother sits on 12 eggs.

Daughter also sits on 12 eggs.

Just too many broodies and newly hatch chicks.
