Broody hen?

My hen is not leaving the box, even an hour after laying, and gets super aggressive when I get near her. She'll take any eggs I put in the box. Do you think she’s broody?

Based on that i have no idea. Where does she sleep at night, in the nest or her normal place? My test to see if a hen is truly broody and deserves eggs is that she has to spend two consecutive nights on the nest. There are a lot of other signs that a hen might be broody or thinking about going broody, but they are just clues. I've had many hens exhibit some of those signs and not really be broody.
