Broody hen

I have an Australop who was broody last week and this week she has been trying to fight and jump on one of the other hens. Today, it was her fourth time this week doing that. I have kept her separated from the other two hens. And they have supervised free ranging. Any advice on what to do? It is getting to be extremely annoying.

Normal, hormonal, broody hen behavior - either they pick on their flockmates or their flockmates pick on them. It's all about the pecking order.

and she doesn't lay any eggs broody or not

Generally it resolves in a matter of days. As long as blood is not being drawn, I would recommend just waiting it out. Good luck.

What happens when you got some broody hens? More chicks...

The yellow is sitting on 13 eggs and the black sitting on 14 eggs. Both just recently sit on the same day.

This is my oldest hen of all, she about to hatch any day soon.

This white hen just hatch out 12 chicks yesterday.

This year I got over 50 chicks in the outside pen. More chicks are hatching.
