I have a broody that hatched out 1 chick with 4 more viable eggs and she left the remaining eggs for a day, that i have put into the incubator one hatched out the next morning. That night I placed it under her she is now raising it, yesterday another hatched and i have another that is really close to internally pipping and another that close, can i put this chick under her now tonight. It keeps jumping out of my containment bin but not out of incubator. Will she take it or should I think of something else. I have 5 chicks in my brooder 3 2 weeks old, 2 5 and 6 days old, But they are bigger (standard Marans, Faverolle) this chick in bantam

It might be a bit late by now, but I'd suggest trying it--just watch to see how it goes. Any chick that keeps jumping out of something has a good chance of keeping up with the hen!

Some hens are quite nice about accepting extra chicks, and some are not. The only way to know about your hen is to try. The fact that she already accepted the second chick is a good sign that she might also accept more.

If the brooder's big enough, then putting it with the other chicks there could also be fine. I can't guarantee it will work, but it seems likely. I've certainly raised banties with bigger chicks before.
