Broody hen ?

Will my broody hen give up on eggs if they are not going to hatch or not? She had a totl of 11 eggs. Her coop mate kept lying under her and I was away so my hubby didn't know to take the new eggs so.........one hatched Saturday, one Sunday, and one on Wednesday. When should I remove the eggs or should I? This is our first broody experience so please excuse my ignorance.

She will set the eggs until she is sure no more will hatch. If she is in a place she and the chicks can get to feed and water, she will caome off the ggs just long enough to drink and eat. Then right back on the eggs. I have seen a have hatch the last egg , while the first chick was two weeks old. She knows more about the eggs than we do. Let nature take its course.

Thank you! That is great news. They are in a big dog crate by themselves so I will just leave her be.
