Broody hens question?

I have 2 hens who are laying. Sapphire gem is 8 months roughly & sapphire olive egger 6 months roughly…

Will either one be a broody hen?
I didn’t know if anyone had one of these hens on hand or had one in the past to know their level of broodiness.

I put 5 eggs in the nesting box in hopes to help promote broodiness… we will see what happens.

Hello! Sadly there is no way to make a hen go broody. They simply just do it by themselves... I have a Sapphire hen who has gone broody, but she was about a year old.

My 9-month-old sapphire olive egger's have gone broody this month and I agree with the first post about not being able to make them go broody.
