I have a black silkie who went broody weeks ago. I gave her some eggs about 9 days ago. Her sister, the frizzle, decided she is broody too, but I kept kicking her out of her nest, and she was less consistent.
Fast forward to yesterday, I came home from work and found my black silkie with the rest of the flock so I assumed she’d abandoned her eggs. When I looked, the frizzle was on them. At night they sit on them together, but during the day it’s 50/50 who I’ll find on the nest but there is always someone on them. Has anyone had this happen? I’m a little worried that they’ll end up fighting over the chicks when they hatch?
