Hi all,

2 of my Speckled Maran have decided to get broody. I have taken their eggs but they still sit there. Not sure how to solve this problem. They have been in the box for 3 days now and it does not seem to matter what i do. I have placed them outside but they go back in eggs or no eggs. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas how to stop them being broody.

You do it the same way to get your wife / gf to change her mind.

I don't know if you can really "break" broody, but I am sure lots of people will have other opinions.

Welcome to BYC. Put both birds in seperate cages away from the rest of your birds for 1 week. Provide them with feed and water. If that doesnt work, repeat for another week.

Thank you i will try it. Someone told me to to dunk them in water but i didn't really think that would do any good. I will seperate them as you suggested.
