Broody hens

Three of my five hens have gone broody. How can I fix this? All three of them will sit in the nesting box all day unless I pick them up and put them outside. Then they will run around for a little while then return back to the nesting box.

There are several things to do to break a hen's broody cycle. Take all eggs out of the nest, (real or fake) block off the nest, put the hens in a cage with nothing to sit on, put a frozen water bottle under them in the nest or give them a cold bath. The links attached should also help.
