My muscovy seems to have gone broody. Is that possible? I have been moving her eggs and putting them in the fridge, but now wonder if that was a mistake. Can I take them out of the fridge and put them back in her nest? Is it possible for her to hatch them in the winter? I'm in CA so it's about 35 at night and 65 in the day. Thanks for your help.

I know that refrigeration does not harm chicken eggs very much if at all.
I would personally prefer to have them stored in room temperature. Long term of course would make hatch rate decrease. I know peeps hatch out fertile eggs that they buy from Trader Joe's. The are refrigerated. You being in mild climate, should have no problem with your broody duck hatching those eggs. I'm in the Midwest where it is coooooooold. Some peeps on our Illinois thread recently had broody chickens hatch some out. The chicks stayed with mom in the coop. Unheated.
WISHING YOU BEST...... :thumbsup
