Broody mama diasater plz help

Hey guys I have a broody hen and she well was sitting on 6 eggs she was in are nesting box the chicks we're supposed to hatch out this weekend well I went and checked on the eggs one morning and there were little cracks in the eggs and I was happy thinking the chicks we're hatching well I came home to find a nother hen in the nest on top of mama so I moved her then I checked on the eggs to find a crack in one no of them that looked like the pick down below any way I found it this way but not broken in too the membrane so I thought the chick could still be okay but I didn't want anymore acceddents to happen so that night I moved he eggs and her into the brooder I was gonna put them in once hatched but i go out there to check on them and open up the door and that same baby chick out of the egg and dead in the back but the baby chick didnt hatch out mama hen done it cause the baby was still attached to the egg so i moved the chick out and all but this morning she was all fine sitting on the rest of the eggs all fine does anyone know why she killed it.

Looks like an accident. Are momma's or other nest guests' claws too long and sharp?

I have to agree it looks like an accident happened.
I know my neighbor gave our other neighbor one of her fertilized eggs from her flock and when she gave it to her hen she stepped on it and broke it

Sounds like an accident, probably from multiple hens accessing the same nest box. I highly recommend isolating a broody hen so she can incubate and hatch out her eggs in peace and security.
