It’s day 20 or 21 for broody mom. I noticed she did not get off the nest this morning and looks really tired or weak. She keeps shutting her eyes. Not sure if she got off yesterday or not but was definitely the day before. Is this normal at the end when they should be hatching? Should I put food and water near her? One of her eggs that I accidentally dropped and slightly detached the air cell was moved inside to my incubator about a week ago. It appears to be pipping so I can only assume the ones under her are doing the same. The other eggs in the incubator are about a day or two behind as I had one hen go broody the day after this one only to change her mind a few days later.

She will go as needed... they are probably in the hatching process and she won't move. You can put old and water close but she still may not eat or drink but then she may.

Thank you. I figured that may be the case but I’m new to this so I’m trying to learn what I can. I’m so excited! 😆 she doesn’t look like she’s moved at all even in position since yesterday so it must be mommy lockdown time!

She's in 'lockdown' and tranced out.
I leave the feed and water away from nest,
and just leave her be,
but often go out to see if I can hear any peeping.
Harder to wait for broody to hatch than incy.....you can't see!!
