Broody nightmare!!

My hen just hatched off four chicks, she went broody last year and we put her in a cage and it worked, however she went broody this year so we thought we would let her have the chicks to get it out of her system, she hatched four off and after three weeks of looking after them she is back in the nest broody again! She's been in a cage for a week now and she's still not giving up! Any suggestions???

Give her more eggs?

Or box her up and send her to me, I'd give her all the babies she wants!

Okay, seriously, I'm not sure. is your cage bare wire on bottom, and elevated off the ground? Have you tried having a fan blowing underneath her, that works for some persistent ladies.

I bunked my broody buff in a tub of cool water for a couple of minutes. When I let her go, she was no longer broody!
