I am going to raise ducks, and I was wandering what is the better option? letting a Muscovy hatch the eggs? or getting an incubator? What has worked better for you all? It will be hatching Cayuga eggs if I get a Muscovy, which kinda would worry me because they are a medium breed ducks, and of course Muscovy are very large. Thanks!

In my experience it's about the same success rate. Muscovys are very good broody hens because of their size and instinct they ward off my grandparents pair of labs that try to eat the eggs. The biggest hatch we've had is 14 or 15, they are bigger ducks and normally sit on a clutch of a dozen eggs or so. when we hatch we put about 2.5-3 dozen eggs in the incubator and have about a 96% hatch rate but the hens normally hatch every egg but one sometimes.
