Broody peahen conditions

Hi, I have a new 3 yro. Peahen and we have some eggs for her to sit on but she hasn't the met the other peafowl and I want to know if she would be to stressed to sit on eggs in a new place. PLEASE HELP! (We have 3 other fowl two males 1 female not counting the new one.)

Sorry I don't know much about peafowl. But if you post on the "Peafowl threads", I'm sure the folks there can help you.

You can't make a hen set or go broody, if you have eggs put them in an incubator or under a broody chicken. If you wait for the peahen to go broody those eggs will be too old to set.

Peahens engage in what is known as egg dumping which is basically just laying eggs any old place without having interest in incubating them. Sometimes they start incubating a clutch right away sometimes they don't incubate at all. I agree though that trying to get her to go broody is a waste of time and it would be better if you can stuff the eggs under a chicken or incubate yourself.
