Broody Pekin!!!

I think one of my pekin hens is going broody!!! She stays on the nest most of the time and she gets all puffed up, stretches her neck out over the edge of her nest, and then she stares and hisses!!! Do you guys think she's going broody?


P.S.
She is setting on 11 eggs right now... Is that too many or too little?

Yep thats a brood pekin for ya! 11 will be fine. My mama sat on 12 last year and 10 hatched. I gave her no help; just lots of food and water. She has hatched out a total of 14 babies for me and sets every year. Even her kids were broody!

Hey Banty, did you come and "borrow" my pen and blue tub??? just kidding

it looks just like my pen and the tub i use to take the babies from in the house to outside to their pen. now they are too big inside, so they stay outside in their pen.

I hate to say this... But my pekin hen is no longer broody. She stayed with the eggs for about three days. She got off of them to be with the other ducks one day and hasn't went back there since. She is still not Laying though...
