My pekin pair have been laying since I've gotten them several weeks ago. At first I collected eggs but couldn't sell them for more than $2/doz. So then I noticed that I had dropped a slake of hay & she created her nest & started laying there. Every a.m. she's there sitting on her eggs. During these ~80' days, she waddles around w her husband. Evening, she returns to sitting.

Is this a broody duck? I've understood that pekins aren't the best hatchers but wth? There are about 10 eggs in there.

TIA.... Priscilla
