I have a previously very sweet banty cochin that's sitting on the nest in the big coop and packs when I try to go near her. I'm happy enough of she wants to hatch a few eggs.

How much space does she need for a broody pen?

How large is your coop?
Do you have an enclosed run?
Her broody pen can be nothing more than a large dog crate that you set up her nest in and provide food and water. She will have to be "grafted" to the new site. That takes a while before they stop trying to go back to the original site where they went broody.
Every morning and afternoon, you remove her from the nest to get a stretch, drop her monster broody poop, scratch around, eat with the flock if she wants and maybe bathe and preen. Watch her as she heads back to the nest. When she heads to the original nest boxes, guide her back to her new nest site then lock her back in. She will eventually get it and you can just leave the door to the crate open.
I have a built-in brooder (now called maternity ward) in my coop and I leave the door to it open now that my current broody is well grafted to the nest. She had a visit from one of the dad's last night.

Mine is a 4x6' section of the coop separated by a wire wall with a floor nest.
It's attached to a separate run.
I don't like the flock messing with the broody, laying eggs in her nest, or her going back to the wrong nest.
I let my broody get up on her own, after maybe once or twice removing her the first few days.
