My little gray broody silkie is getting picked on in her nest. The other bigger hens peck her back & neck. There is plenty of room to nest & lay in other boxes but they all seem to want to lay where she is sitting on eggs! ? Should I remove her & her eggs until they hatch? Any suggestions?

If you have a dog crate, you could move her to that, but leave it in the coop. I’d cover the sides with plastic so they can’t peck her. Leaving it in the coop so they can see her will lower the stress of having to reintegrate her

Hello. I move all my Broody Hens to my Garage Brooder and set up a nest with her eggs..I keep her there till she hatches and then put her back into the Flock when the Chicks are about a week old. No one messes with Momma and her Chicks.
