Broody silkie questions

I have a beautiful hire wilkie hen and she has gone broody on me....which I am fine with. I just got 4 babies at the feed store on Friday and have them In a broader. My silkie was sitting on maybe 3 to 4 eggs for a couple days and one of my other chickens (polish hen) got in there and destroyed them. I think she an egg eater which I'm not very happy about. Long story short my question is can I put the 4 babies under my silkie? Will she take them or kill them? What could I do. The babies are fine in the brooder. I just feel bad for her cause she really seems to want to be a mom.

You can try. Some hens will take them, some won't. You should know pretty quickly. Don't leave them unattended. Stuff them under her and watch how it goes.
