just three days after i closed my full incubator my silkie went broody. my children put three quail eggs then six more under her and she accepted them. has anyone done this? will there be a nice result? I'm not sure about this as i have raised a lot of quail using the incubator method and baby quail seem so independent and spazzy. many thanks

Do a byc search for "WHY WE DONT KEEP CHICKENS AND QUAIL TOGATHER" --- it makes for some interesting reading complete with pics.
