Ok i am going to put my white silkie hen and a splash silkie rooster in a coop and breed them so i can let my hen lay eggs in a nest in the coop do you think if i let the eggs pile up in the nest box do you think she will go broody with the eggs if so how many eggs will it take to make her go broody thanks

You have a shot of that working, but there's really no way to tell for sure. Silkies are naturally more broody than most other breeds. And my broody breeds do sometimes respond to eggs piling up. I'd say if you have a weeks worth of eggs built up and she's not taking the bait, I'd remove them so they'd still be edible, and try again in a few weeks. Broodiness is a hormonal thing that we humans have very little say about.
BTWay...my brother lives in Logan...last name of Partlow.
