can i put eggs under this time of year with it still being realy cold out would it still work or should i wait till its warmer out got 2 that go broody alot

My two broody silkies hatched their babies during our coldest weather, it was 15 degrees. You will need heat lamp after they hatch.

Determined broody hens can successfully hatch chicks any time of year. The problem in cold weather broods lies in the raising. I have had mixed luck with allowing hens to raise winter broods unless I was able to provide supplemental heating.
