If anyone could help i would appreciate it. Is it possible to keep a silkie hen/s without a cock bird and use them to incubate other eggs when they go broody? How often would they go broody to. I dont have a great amount of space and there isn't many breeders around so it may be easier to buy eggs for hatching.
 
I do know that they will incubate other hens eggs but I don't know how often they go broody. Quite a lot I think.
 
Thats what i thought thank you, dont want to buy an incubater, would rather do it naturally.
