broody silkies

ok when a silkie goess broody does it lay a bunch of eggs to hatch or do you put eggs under her so she can hatch them can someone go over this with me and is there a way to make a silkie go broody.

All i know is that to stop or prevent broodyness is that you take out eggs as often as possible, so to encourage it i suggest you put eggs in hope this helps

Broody hens don't lay eggs when they are broody, so if she goes broody you will have to put your own eggs under her

Ok! But yes, and I am possitive I read it on BYC and I have had 3 different broodies, and they don't lay eggs
