So bobo is broody AGAIN :celebrate but this time she's sitting on 12 (bantam) eggs! They're too much for her and she's randomly rotating in her nest, so I checked on her this morning and she was in the corner and now in the evening she's on the opposite end of the coop with eggs surrounding her (not under her) they're not cold and are warm. She's spread out like a crepe, but when I put the eggs under her, they're all covered, as in I cant see them (but sometimes you can see a white thing poking out from underneath). but if I touch her wing I can feel hard bulging bits of egg. So they're covered just by her feathers and stuff. Are they getting enough warmth this way? I was going to take some eggs out but then the eggs have started developing so what do I do with the spare eggs? They're about 1-2 days old.

One to two days old. Boil them and feed them to your chickens or dogs. Peel them first. You can break up the eggs if you want to. I don't but many people worry about that causing them to eat eggs.

At that time it is unlikely you'll see anything if you do break them apart but even if you do your chickens or dogs won't care. It might bother you but it certainly will not them.

Thanks everyone for you replies! I did take three chicken eggs out from under her. Here is my next question: Out of the three eggs only one was cold. I tried to see the best I could in the dark in case there were any other stray eggs lying about but there werent. and the ones she was sitting on were all warm but still just on the edge of her feathers. some were under her wing too
Does this mean she can keep the current amount she has warm? i did not add the other three eggs so she has nine under her right now.

Hens and eggs come in different sizes. It's hard to come up with a specific number of eggs a hen can handle. Brahmas are huge hens but often lay medium sized eggs. Leghorns are relatively small but can lay large eggs. You are going to have to use your own judgement.

With mine I tend to set 12 eggs under a hen but I remember one specific hen where that looked like too many, I only gave her 10.
