Broody vs Bater

O.K., 21 days ago I set 12 eggs under a broody and 15 in the bater. Eggs were shipped from 2 different sources. At day 18 I candled and culled all but 12 bater eggs. Now they are hatching. In the bater I have 2 chicks hatched(still wet) and a couple pipped(that I can tell) One has pipped and looks dead in the shell. Under the broody I have 4 completly dry fluffy butts and at least 1 pipping.So far the broody is ahead.

I believe that natural incubation is always the best, but when all your broody hens are sitting on eggs, I put the other hatching eggs in the bator.

I think broodies are better hatchers, but I've only used a broody twice and shes sitting now as the second time.
