Broody with black runny *smelly* Poo

I pulled my Broody off the nest with her 4 new chicks. I was going to let nature decide when she was done, but it smelled so bad and there was a 2 cup pile of poop. I put her and the chicks in a dog kennel with fresh food and water. Her bum feathers are wet with this runny black poop that smells terrible. I stuck the rest of her eggs under a broody who didn't have eggs. The chicks are a little dirty as they had gotten in the poop pile.

I have no idea if this is normal, or if it needs medicine or if I shoudl quarintine???

She is a Buff Orp about 1 year old and first time Mommy.

I don't have any first hand experience, but I've read on here that broody poops are bad ones because they hold them in for a very long time.
