I have a hen that is raising a chick within the flock. I also have seven month old chicks being raised in the coop..see but don't touch method. Is it possible hen will tolerate them if they get close?

Depends on the hen. I've had broody hens kill others chicks, and I've had them not bother them. You won't know until you try supervised mingling. I would definitely keep an eye on them for a while just to be sure.

Thank you. I definitely will be there to keep an eye on the dynamics.

I agree, a lot depends on the hen. But I also think a lot depends on how much room they have. If they have a lot of room (not that 4 square feet you read about so much but enough room that the chicks can get away and avoid the hen and chick) I think you have a good chance. What I'd expect to see is that the 7 month old juveniles get too close and the hen runs them away. After a couple of times of that the juveniles learn to stay away. But with living animals you can never be sure, so observe.
